You're comment that "basing studies from prison inmates and obedience centered where disfavoured, disadventaged, mislead, struggling, blinded individuals..." makes no sense. In the prison experiment, he had regular, successful college students [all male however] split into two group. One group pretended to be the prisoners and one group pretended to be the inmates. After a few days the "guards" started abusing the "prisoners."

You can also look up Jane Elliott's "brown eyes, blue eyes" experiment.

Re: ZADI DIAZ — darkestgreen: thebestworstidea: ...

Don't you think Zimbardo’s Stanford Prison Experiment and Stanley Milgram’s Obedience Experiment are both radical environments to be basing this person's study on? It's (not) nice how the masses are generalized as such.

What do you work for, to use these blanket wide brush-stroke assertions about the "human" nature of living "beings" on earth?

Basing studies from prison inmates and obedience centers where disfavoured, disadvantaged, mislead, struggling, blinded individuals (likely the same types as the few who hurt her, teenagers egging one another? We don't know)... well they sure have lots to be angry about, but blanketing everyone as such is off the charts using inmates as examples.

The following quote will either make you feel great or confused.

"It feels more democratic and less condemnatory (and somehow less alarming) to believe that everyone is a little shady than to accept a few human beings live in a permanent nighttime. To admit that some people literally have no conscience is not technically saying that some human beings are evil, but it is disturbingly close. And good people want very much not to believe in the personification of evil." - Dr. Martha Stout

peace in the middle east!!

Re: ZADI DIAZ — darkestgreen: thebestworstidea: ...

Powerful and moving.
